Throughout my time coaching Primary School Rugby, I have developed a cluster of lesson plans focusing on the main principles of rugby. The main principles of rugby that I cover throughout these lesson plans are:

  • Tagging
  • Evasion
  • Catching
  • Passing
  • Scoring

The key focus of these lesson plans are used with a games-based approach. Understanding the young age group is important to make sure all the lessons are game orientated and focused on fun and enjoyment of the sport.
